Butterball!
I’m six months pregnant today, can you believe it? What a great milestone! I feel like I’m finally putting a serious dent in the 9 month timeframe!
According to babycenter.com, Jack’s about 1.5 pounds now, and my uterus is the size of a soccer ball.
Ahem— at least. See below:

Taking photos of yourself in a mirror is never a flattering angle, so I’ll have Brian take a better one in a few days. Not that I CAN take a good photo at this stage, but you know… maybe brushing my hair and wearing a little makeup would help. *wink*

Can you say… BUTTERBALL?!! Bwahaha! It’s okay, make fun all you want— I actually LIKE my preggo belly, so it can get as big as it wants! It makes me smile. 
Besides, I know it’s hard to believe, but I have only gained 5 pounds this entire pregnancy. Looks like 30 lbs, I know! Between the mongo boobs, the fluid retention in my face and hands, and my big ole belly, I have NO IDEA how it’s only five pounds, but it is.
My goal was to gain no more than 20 pounds— just enough to cover the weight of the baby, the placenta, the amniotic fluid, the extra blood volume, etc. (Don’t worry, doc agrees and says it’s okay for me). So far it looks like I’m right on target. We’ll see what happens in the last trimester, though! I could be in for a big weight explosion at the last minute. Heh.

Oh Candi, you look so lovely pregnant! And actually, I think the mirror picture is pretty cool. You have this supermodel pensive look like they have on the runways these days. Either that or it’s “I’m pregnant, mess with me at your own risk!”
I had a friend who had her husband take a side shot of her against the same wall wearing the same clothes every week for her entire pregnancy, just so she could see how pregnant she was getting.
I’ll be anxious to see if you still like your preggo belly at 8 1/2 months when it’s twice as big as it is now. bwah ha ha!

Haha, Cindy, definitely more of a “What the #$#$, I need a wide angle lense!” look than the supermodel pensive look. Hahaha! But thank you. I love my Buddha belly! I’ll probably take pictures every couple of weeks from here on out to document how much it grows!
