Today we’re having a birthday party for Jack and inviting a few family members over.  We’re actually going to post those photos on his birthday, though. So for now….

Oooh, water!

One of Jack’s favorite things is water. He’s just fascinated by it. Bath water, toilet water, water coming out of the fridge, the water in the pets’ bowls… So of course he loved this fountain at KC Live in the Kansas City Power & Light district. He also loves the new side sling he’s riding in with daddy, too.

Jack celebrated his very first Easter this year! Obviously, he’s not old enough to go looking for anything, so we didn’t have an Easter egg hunt. He HATES having strangers hold him, so we didn’t subject him to the terror of sitting on the lap of a 6 foot tall furry white bunny. And nor are we religious, so we didn’t go to church or celebrate it the Christian way.

No… around here, we’re all about the CHOCOLATE (we all had plenty, thank you!) And also, playing dress up! Yes, yes, I am aware he’s a BOY, and decided (albeit reluctantly) that I would not humiliate him by showing photos of him dressed up in a bunny suit. I did, however, buy a really cool little suit with an old-fashioned bow tie that just so happened to be the perfect shade of green for Easter.

Brian wasn’t sure about the suit at first, but once he saw the photos, he realized just how handsome a little fellow can be—even while wearing pastels.
